Privacy policy

This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit ungerlabs.ch and ungerlabs.com. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Unger Labs has no establishment in the EU. No EU representative under Art. 27 GDPR has been appointed, as processing is only occasional and does not involve a high risk.

2. In short

  • This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers.
  • Fonts and all other files are served from this website, not from third parties such as Google Fonts.
  • Technically necessary access data is processed by the hosting provider Cloudflare.
  • If you send an email, it is processed in order to reply.

3. Hosting and server logs

The website is delivered via Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the requested address, browser type and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the website, protect it against attacks and fix faults. Unger Labs does not analyse it to identify visitors.

The legal basis under the GDPR is the legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Cloudflare's privacy policy for more information.

4. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, your address, the content of your message and any other details you provide are processed in order to answer your request. The legal basis under the GDPR is the performance of pre-contractual measures or a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or the legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Emails are stored with the Swiss provider Infomaniak Network SA in Geneva.

5. Transfers abroad

Cloudflare operates a global network of data centres. Your data may therefore also be processed in countries outside Switzerland and the EEA, in particular in the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. In addition, transfers are based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which are recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

6. Retention

Personal data is kept only as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Business-relevant emails may be kept for up to ten years.

7. Your rights

Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and to receive or transfer your data, as well as the right to object to processing. Please use the email address above.

You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Switzerland the FDPIC, in the EU the authority of your country of residence.

8. Apps by Unger Labs

The apps by Unger Labs have their own privacy policies, linked in each app and on the App Store or Google Play.

9. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated when the website or legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
